Misochain Bags ₹18 Cr Seed Funding for Critical Aerospace Parts
Overview
Bengaluru-based Misochain Technologies has secured ₹18 crore in seed funding, led by Capital-A. The capital injection aims to establish a manufacturing facility for crucial aerospace components, accelerating product certification and expanding MRO capabilities. This move targets import substitution for flight-critical systems, positioning Misochain as a key player in India's growing defense and aviation sectors.
Indigenous Aerospace Push
Misochain Technologies Pvt Ltd has successfully closed a ₹18 crore seed funding round, with Capital-A spearheading the investment. The Bengaluru-based deep-tech firm is poised to bolster India's capabilities in manufacturing critical aerospace components.
The infusion of capital is earmarked for establishing a dedicated manufacturing facility. This expansion will target the production of vital aerospace parts, with a strategic focus on accelerating product certification programs. It also aims to scale up engineering and testing capacities for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) and other global aerospace clients.
Mission to Replace Imports
Founded in 2019 by former Honeywell Aerospace engineers Rama Kandula and Murali Krishnan, Misochain addresses a significant gap in the Indian market. The company develops flight-critical aircraft components, many of which are currently imported. Their product portfolio includes essential systems like air data probes, vibration isolation systems, actuators, and solenoid valves.
"India has built strong aircraft and defence platforms, yet many flight-critical subsystems still depend on overseas suppliers," stated Rama Kandula, Co-Founder and CEO of Misochain Technologies. "This investment allows us to advance certification timelines, expand engineering depth, and move closer to serial deployment across defence and aviation platforms."
Investor Confidence in Deep-Tech
Ankit Kedia, Founder and Lead Investor at Capital-A, highlighted Misochain's strategic importance. "Aerospace manufacturing is defined by certification depth, execution discipline and long product lifecycles," Kedia commented. "Misochain has crossed a key inflection point by achieving technical qualification for flight-critical systems, placing it among a small group of suppliers with durable relevance."
The company holds AS9100D certification for design and manufacturing. Furthermore, Misochain has developed proprietary probe-heating technologies specifically engineered for demanding extreme flight environments.
