USK Capital, the investment vehicle for Uday Kotak's family, announced Tuesday its acquisition of a majority stake in Go Raw, a United States-based company specializing in seed-centric healthy snacks. This strategic move represents USK Capital's inaugural investment outside India and its definitive entry into the global consumer goods arena.

Diversification Strategy Unfolds

The acquisition was executed through an overseas entity via the overseas direct investment route. Sellers included private equity firm Juggernaut Capital Partners and other early-stage investors. While financial terms remain undisclosed, USK Capital stated the deal aligns with its objectives for strategic diversification. Venkat Subramanian, Chief Investment Officer at USK Capital, highlighted the growing global demand for healthy eating options and Go Raw's strong performance and expanding retail presence in the US market.
