Larsen & Toubro's (L&T) Heavy Civil Infrastructure business vertical has clinched a substantial order valued between Rs 2,500 crore and Rs 5,000 crore. This contract is for the construction of Saidongar-1 Pumped Storage Project (PSP) in Raigad, Maharashtra, set to become India's largest such facility.
Project Scope and Strategic Importance
The 3,000 MW Saidongar-1 PSP, awarded by Torrent Energy Storage Solutions, will comprise ten 300 MW units. Its completion is anticipated to significantly bolster grid reliability and strengthen energy security across Maharashtra and potentially other regions.
