Ola Electric announced January 14, 2026, the expansion of its 4680 Bharat Cell platform. Businesses and startups can now directly purchase the cells or 1.5kWh battery packs, enabling rapid innovation and scaling of new energy storage solutions engineered and manufactured in India.

Diverse Applications

The Bengaluru-based firm stated that businesses can leverage this technology for automotive, humanoids, drones, and portable medical equipment. This marks a significant step in democratizing advanced energy solutions across various sectors.

Broader Product Rollout

Alongside the platform expansion, Ola Electric provided updates on its broader product suite. Residential Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Ola Shakti deliveries begin late January 2026, with the 3kW model following mid-February. Pan-India deliveries for the S1 Pro+ electric scooter are also scaling.

The 4680 Bharat Cell Ecosystem

At the heart of these offerings is the in-house developed 4680 Bharat Cell technology. This platform now powers Ola Electric's two-wheeler portfolio and the Ola Shakti BESS, embodying a 'one cell, one platform, one portfolio built for India' vision.
