Kia India Achieves 500,000 Connected Car Milestone

Kia India announced it has surpassed 500,000 connected cars now operating on Indian roads. This significant milestone highlights the strong customer adoption of the company’s intelligent mobility ecosystem, with connected car variants contributing nearly 40% to the company’s domestic wholesale volumes, enabled by Kia Connect 2.0 with ccNC.

Seltos Powers Growth

The Kia Seltos is a key driver of this achievement, accounting for approximately 70% of Kia’s total Connected Car sales. The Sonet and Carens models closely follow, underscoring the broad-based demand for connected features across Kia India’s portfolio.

Atul Sood, Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Kia India, stated that the company consistently differentiates itself through design excellence and technology leadership. He noted that initiatives like Kia Drive Green have strengthened customer engagement and adoption within the connected ecosystem. The high customer retention rate beyond complimentary subscription periods validates the sustained relevance and long-term value of Kia Connect.

Advanced Connectivity Features

Kia's connected features offer an integrated interface combining navigation, vehicle information, and app connectivity, supported by over-the-air (OTA) software update capability. Vehicle software is updated remotely before delivery, ensuring cars ship with the latest versions. The system also enables remote software updates and basic vehicle diagnostics, reducing the need for service center visits. Users can access and operate their vehicle using a smartphone or smartwatch via UWB or NFC technology. A 360-degree view of the vehicle through the Kia Connect app aids parking and remote monitoring. Voice commands are supported in multiple languages, with plans for further expansion. Kia India also offers connected features across all its electric vehicle models.
