The state government reported that the project has advanced from initial state-level approvals to full-scale construction within a rapid four-month timeframe.

Investment and Timeline

The significant ₹3,000 crore project is situated in the Anantapur district. Developed under the Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) framework, it combines substantial solar generation capacity with battery storage to ensure round-the-clock renewable power availability. The project is slated for commissioning by 2026.

Government Endorsement

Nara Lokesh, the state's Minister for Education, IT, and Electronics, praised the execution pace. He highlighted that the swift movement from approvals to implementation reflects Andhra Pradesh's strategic focus on speed, certainty, and effective investment facilitation. Lokesh stated that the state is proud to partner in boosting grid reliability and accelerating India's clean energy journey.
